As we enter into this special time of fasting and prayer. It is very important that we follow the protocol in which God has given us in his Word.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
If we will do the (4) things that are listed in 2 Chronicles 7:14, we will experience the intervention of God in our lives and our circumstances.
HUMBLE OURSELVES - Acknowledge our absolute dependence upon the Heavenly Father. We humble our souls with fasting.
PRAY - Position ourselves to fervently and consistently pray.
SEEK THE FACE OF GOD - Seek the Lord in worshiping him, praising him, reading his Word and seeking his perfect will for your life.
REPENT AND TURN FROM WICKED WAYS - Repent, which means to go in the opposite direction. Turn from anything that is against the Word and Will of God. Acknowledge that the Word of God is right and make the decision to follow his Word completely.
